The Alpine Chamber of Commerce hosted a Q & A session with candidates for the Alpine City Council on Saturday. The event was moderated by the Alpine Avalanche.
The Ward 2 and Ward 4 Council seats are up for grabs in the citywide May 10th election.
From the KRTS News team, Natalie Pattillo was on hand, and asked the candidates to talk about their priorities for Alpine if elected. All of the candidates said their focus would be on infrastructure, tourism and fiscal transparency.
That last item will likely be of special interest to voters this year, after Alpine's former Finance Director Ricky Chavez recently pleaded guilty to theft charges in the wake of serious financial mismanagement being exposed in the city's accounts.
