On Friday (September 28) before 4pm, there was a vehicular accident on Highway 67 south of Marfa - near Elephant Rock. Traffic is slowed to stop at this location this hour (4 PM Friday). Elephant Rock is not far from the ghost town of Shafter.
Update: Rudolfo Sotelo-Guanespen was killed in the accident. The 35-year-old Odessa resident was driving southbound when he collided with a northbound ambulance. His passenger and those in the ambulance were treated for injuries at the Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine.
