mpr_mpl_check_presentation
Renee Mick, Director of the Marfa Public Library, receives a $5,000 check from Tom Michael, General Manager of Marfa Public Radio, as part of the American Graduate project, at Marfa Public School, December 2012.

As part of the American Graduate project, Marfa Public Radio has given the Marfa Public Library $5,000, for their help with the Youth Media Project.

The KRTS Youth Media Project – which matches adult mentors with high school students – will conclude early next year in a series of youth radio stories. Participating students will be producing their radio stories on computers at the Marfa Public Library.

Read more about the projects and see the latest photos at our American Graduate website. Be sure to click the "Resources" page to find out about activities in the Tri-County region for students.

NOTE: Project Coordinator Alice Quinlan will update KRTS listeners on the Youth Media project on Thursday, December 20, at 10 AM, with a replay at 6:30 PM.
