UPDATE: The Lobos drop to Commerce, 51-6. Full report here.
The Sul Ross State Lobos begin their football season on Saturday September 7, with a road game on the other side of the state. Mark Haslett - a former Marfa resident - has a preview of this weekend's action, from member station KETR.
The Sul Ross State Lobos will face A&M-Commerce in the teams' season opener at Memorial Stadium in Commerce on Sept. 7. The two schools have not met since 1975, when A&M-Commerce was still known as East Texas State. The Lobos have a 5-18-3 record in the all-time series.
