Sue Aikens is the sole resident of the Kavik River Camp in Alaska, located 197 miles north of the Arctic Circle. The Chicago-native talks about her experience living without sun in the winter, being 350 miles from the closest store, and having grizzly bears and wild foxes as her neighbors. She’s part of the National Geographic series Life Below Zero, airing this week on the National Geographic Channel.
