Internships at KRTS Marfa Public Radio

Who can be an intern?

College students and recent college graduates, along with other interested individuals not affiliated with a particular academic institution at this time.  

Applying for an Internship

Prospective interns should direct their applications to "Marfa Public Radio Internships".  The applicant will be contacted for an interview if the applicant is eligible and if an intern position is available. If not, the application will be kept on file so the applicant may be notified of the next available opening.

Required Application Materials:
   - Letter of interest
   - Letters of recommendation (minimum of two)
   - Recent academic transcript (if applicant is currently in school or will be seeking course credit for internship)
   - Resume

Internship terms begin in September, January, March and June. Applicants should apply by the 1st of the month prior to the term start date. Applications are due in hand, not post-marked, by Aug. 1st, Dec. 1st, Feb. 1st, May 1st.

Time Commitment

Interns are expected to intern full time (40 hours a week), though part time applicants will be considered.  For currently enrolled students, the intern must be available for a minimum of 15 hours per week to participate in the internship program, though 20 hours a week is preferred.
