Kudos to our friend John Wells of The Field Lab in Terlingua, for today's New York Timesarticle on his off-the-grid lifestyle.
John tells the NYT reporter what KRTS listeners already know: you don't need to be on-the-grid to stay connected. From the article:
At the radio station, we fondly recall the taste of John's solar-oven baked bread, which he carried up from Terlingua with his membership renewal during our most recent pledge drive. He was also featured on our weekday "Talk At Ten" program, when Station Manager Tom Michael toured The Field Lab with a microphone.
