As of 1 PM on Wednesday, there is a fire burning on HWY 90, just 2 miles west of Alpine. Traffic is blocked on both sides of the highway. Currently, the Brewster County Sheriff's Department and the Alpine Volunteer Fire Department or on the scene. Individuals driving in the area should exercise caution.
