Sunday, June 3, at 5 PM, hear an episode of TED Radio Hour, the first new program from NPR in five years.
Each year, the TED conferences share the world's most fascinating thinkers - mavericks, icons, and geniuses - who give the talk-of-their-lives in 18 minutes or less about the best ideas in Technology, Entertainment, Design. NPR has collaborated with TED to produce hours of radio on different topics.
On this Sunday's program, a look at Africa. There are many stereotypes about Africa: that it's a place of conflict, of disease, war and famine. Or that it's a single place rather than a continent of 54 distinct countries. We'll engage with thinkers and doers who are constructing new realities for their respective countries — and for the African continent as a whole.
