The Marfa High School "Robohorns" Robotics team is in St. Louis, Missouri this weekend for the "FIRST" robotics world championship.
The Marfa team - the only one with a female captain, Eva Guevara - advanced out of the regional rounds in Lubbock last month, after competing against 47 other teams from across the country.
This weekend they'll compete against 600 other teams from around the world. Qualifying rounds were held Thursday and continue on Friday.
Big Bend Sentinel reporter Sarah Vasquez is traveling with the team in St. Louis, and brings us a preview of this weekend's events. We'll hear a wrap-up of how the Robohorns did at Saturday's final day of competitions on Monday during Morning Edition, 6 - 9 a.m.
