Results for Local West Texas Elections

Final results are in for local elections in Marfa, Alpine and Presidio.

In Marfa, incumbent Mayor Dan Dunlap retained his seat. Josie Simpson retained her city council seat, while Peter Stanley bested Tom Schmidt for the second of two open seats.

In Alpine, Nancy Antrim takes over the City Council Ward 1 seat from outgoing council member Angie Bermudez. The Ward 3 seat went to incumbent Jim Fitzgerald.

In Presidio, incumbent Mayor John Ferguson ran unopposed and retained his seat.

At the Presidio City Council, incumbent Dimitri Garcia retained his seat. Isela Nuñez and Edgar Sotelo won the other two of three open seats. (Incumbent Oscar Phillip Aguilar lost his seat.)

In the Presidio ISD School Board race, incumbents Hugo Ramos and Ethel Barriga retained their seats. Jesús Baeza joins the board, winning the other open seat. (Incumbent Aureliano Ramirez leaves the board.)

One provisional vote was not included in the Marfa totals. Here's how the numbers broke down:
