Brewster County Election Results

County Commissioner, Precinct 1: Asa “Cookie” Stone (Republican, 583 votes) defeats Thomas R. Mangrem (Democrat, 470 votes).

County Commissioner, Precinct 3: Ruben Ortega (Democrat, 517 votes) defeats Ben Ramirez (Republican, 285 votes)

County Commissioner, Precinct 4, unexpired term: Mike “Coach” Pallanez (Democrat, 508 votes) defeats Carl Lewis (Republican, 354 votes).

At the top of the ticket, Brewster County pulled for Mitt Romney (1,975) over Barack Obama (1,765) in the presidential race, for Ted Cruz (1,874) over Paul Sadler (1,624) in the U.S. Senate, for challenger Pete Gallego (2,233) over Quico Canseco (1,447) for U.S. Congress. In regional races, Thomas Kincaid received more votes (1,884) than Poncho Nevarez (1,755). And Roy Ferguson (2,558) lead over Anthony Foster (1,100) in the race for 394th District Judge.
