Update 9:30 a.m. : Marfa Public Radio has learned that the fire is part of a controlled burn on MacGuire Ranch.
Original Post: At approximately 9 a.m., a fire was spotted burning across from El Cosmico in Marfa. Reporter Paige Phelps spoke with a member of the volunteer fire department who said they were unaware of any situation, but the fire chief would head out to investigate.
