At Monday's school board meeting, Superintendent of Marfa Schools, Teloa Swinnea announced her retirement, effective July 2012. Mrs. Swinnea served area schools for 30 years, in Marfa, Fort Davis, McCamey, Presidio. Her full biography is here.
There is an ongoing search for a principal for Marfa Junior/Senior High School, since Graydon Hicks left the district earlier this year.
