Earlier this week, CBS 7 News reported that the city of Alpine was unable to account for $30.2 million in its budget. This followed a contentious City Council meeting on Tuesday. For KRTS Natalie Pattillo spoke to Interim City Finance Director Deborah Pattison and Mayor Avinash Rangra to set the record straight.
Pattison and Rangra, along with Councilperson Michael Castelli, explained that the credits and debits do not balance because of the city's transition into new accounting and bookkeeping software.
