Today at the University of Texas El Paso, the Texas Tribune hosted “On the Road: A Symposium on Demographic Change.”
The symposium featured a variety of panelists discussing how population shifts in Texas will affect policy-making and the state’s political landscape (and how they already have.)
Earlier today, we shared a live-stream of the event. Some of the day’s speakers included:
State Senator José Rodríguez – representing Jeff Davis, Presidio, Culberson, Hudspeth and El Paso Counties
Steve Murdock – Former Director of the US Census Bureau
George Antuna – Co-founder of Hispanic Republicans of Texas
Michael Williams – Commissioner of the Texas Education Agency
