The Town of Valentine on a Friday Night

photo-33

This weekend, more than 1,000 visitors descended on the tiny town of Valentine, Texas, which has a population of less than 200 the rest of the year. At this time of year it's known for its famous post office.

The old railroad town held twice the number of people a century ago. At that time, it serviced the trains and the employees of the Southern Pacific Railroad. And on this Friday night, however, it seemed crowded. It was Valentine's Day, and a party was happening. For KRTS News, Tom Michael reports.
