Regular season football comes to a close this weekend throughout the Trans-Pecos. In high school news, the Alpine Fightin' Bucks head to Coahoma for their last game of the season against the Bulldogs. The Bucks head into this game with an impressive 8-1 record this season, one that gives them good odds in post-season play.
The six-man football season closes out Friday night as well, with the Balmorhea Bears (7-2) hosting the Dell City Cougars. Dell City has failed to gain a single win this season, putting the Bears in good shape to tack on another win to their already impressive record.
The Fort Davis Indians will head to Martin Field in Marfa to take on the Shorthorns, both teams seeking to add a win to their 3-6 records for the season closer.
On Saturday, the Sul Ross Lobos (4-5) close out their season with a trip to Marshall, TX to take on East Texas Baptist University (3-5.) The Lobos are coming off a 58-17 win against Howard Payne University during last week's homecoming game in Alpine.
