Marfa volleyball hosts Sierra Blanca on Saturday morning, and will also host the Marfa Shorthorn Stampede cross country meet at the Marfa Golf Course.

In football news, the Sul Ross Lobos will head to Seguin on Saturday to take on Texas Lutheran University. The Lobos gained their second win of the season last weekend against Mississippi College, a triumphant 75-42 victory to compliment the team's nearly 900-mile drive to Clinton, MS. The Fort Davis Indians (3-3) head to Garden City on Saturday to play the undefeated Ira Bulldogs (6-0.) Fort Davis pulled a high-scoring 91-58 victory over Midland Trinity last Friday.

The Balmorhea Bears (4-1) head to Sierra Blanca on Friday, October 12 to take on the Vaqueros (3-2), while the Alpine Fightin' Bucks travel to Sonora for their first district game of the season.
