In observance of Martin Luther King Jr Day on Monday, all area post offices will be closed, federal courts will be closed, and so will most banks.
The courthouses in Brewster, Presidio, and Jeff Davis counties will be closed. Alpine City Hall and Marfa City Hall will be closed.
Sul Ross State University will be closed – and so are these other schools: Alpine Christian School, Marfa Montessori, and Alpine Montessori.
BUT area public schools will be open. Alpine ISD, Presidio ISD, Marfa ISD, and Fort Davis ISD all will be open on Monday.
