The University of Texas at San Antonio's Institute for Economic Development has released a studydocumenting the economic ripple effect of the oil and gas play in west Texas. The study shows that the region generated more than $14.5 billion in revenue for west Texas in 2012, suggesting prospects for sustained growth into 2014 remain upbeat.
