Based on voter demands, retail marijuana became legal in Colorado this week, as a few pot shops open across the state. We speak with Travis Bubenik, News Director at KVNF, the public radio station based in Paonia, Colorado.
What does this mean for traveling Texans? Can pot tourism be far behind? According to Bubenik, it's already happening. Although some law enforcement questions remain to be answered, the state expects a financial windfall from the new legislation.
Bubenik described where marijuana stores are located and how they work. He also touched on moral, justice, and financial issues. He is a former intern at Marfa Public Radio.
