Booster Shot: Healthy Snacks

booster-shot-krts

This is Booster Shot, your monthly look at personal health. On this show, we talk to Dr. Sudip Bose, an orthopedic surgeon at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, about healthy snacks.

We've all heard the breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But why? Because without it, you start craving junk food snacks earlier in the day, and are more likely to overindulge.

Dr. Bose suggests five small meals a day. But if this isn't possible—healthy snacks are the way to go. Fruits like apples, bananas or grapes are good to have on hand when you're feeling hungry, as are peanuts or almonds.
