On New Year's Eve 2010-11, tune in to KRTS from 7pm to 3am. NPR Music and WBGO will once again present Toast of the Nation, a broadcast of live jazz performances throughout the night, from venues all across the U.S.
The broadcast checks in with live music from five venues, from Boston to San Francisco, and counts down to midnight in four U.S. time zones. All the performances will be recorded and later archived at NPR Music. WBGO's Rhonda Hamilton will host the entire evening.
And join us on New Year’s Day 2011, from 10am to noon, when the Vienna Philharmonic presents its live annual New Years Day from Vienna, including your favorite waltzes and polkas. New Year’s Day from Vienna is presented by NPR and WGBH Boston.
